Mindfulness-based Mind Fitness Training MMFT® is an evidence-based program developed from two decades of research on stress, trauma, and resilience. It was originally designed for people in high-stress environments—combat troops, first responders, health-care workers, and others whose circumstances don’t allow them to slow down. That’s also what makes it effective for the rest of us.

The 8-week online course, offered in partnership with Sounds True, delivers the full MMFT curriculum on demand. It’s self-paced, so you can begin whenever you’re ready and move through the material at whatever pace your life allows. It includes:
- Video lessons in small, digestible modules
- Guided daily practices (10–30 minutes, structured for real schedules)
- 12 prerecorded Q&A sessions with Liz
- A comprehensive FAQ database
MMFT’s first four modules build the neurobiological foundation—how stress and trauma work in the body, and how to begin regulating them. The second four apply those foundations to habits, decision-making, emotions, relationships, and conflict.

What Participants Say
“As a therapist of 26 years, I believe MMFT offers something very useful, practical, and effective. I have referred so many clients to your MMFT program and Widen the Window because it works SO WELL. Every skill I give my clients, I also use—and this program was very regulating for my chronic Lyme Disease and subsequent stress activation.” — Lori M., United States
“Having access to MMFT and your additional sessions has truly been a gift. The Contact Points exercise has become a daily go-to for me, and I return to the Warrior Tradition and Standing Like a Mountain practice whenever I need to find my footing. These aren’t just exercises to me; they are vital tools that have shaped how I navigate the world.”— Aneesah W., Netherlands.
“Telling myself I’m safe when I have a stress response is probably one of the most useful things I’ve ever discovered in my whole life. I use your techniques daily and have been since completing the course in 2021.” — Anneke J., UK
“MMFT is extremely helpful, important, and definitely effective. This course is unlike any other mindfulness experience I’ve had before. In conditions of constant stress, this approach is definitely more effective and efficient than those with which I was familiar before.” — Natalia R., Ukraine
“Working with the exercises has helped me become more stress-resistant in my everyday life. I react more calmly to alarm signals, and my internal anxiety has passed. I realize now that my anxiety did not bring any benefit at all, only exhausted me. My communication with other people is better, too.” — Andryi P.
